EDUCATORS: WE WOULD VALUE YOUR INPUT
Prairie Village Museum is exploring the creation of “Prairie Innovation,” a new hands-on exhibit designed to help students understand how people on the northern plains used science, technology and problem-solving in their homes, farms and communities.
Proposed learning areas include simple machines and pulleys, water and household labor, communication technology, and agricultural innovation. Before designing the exhibit, we want to make sure it supports the needs of area students and educators.
Your feedback will help us:
• Connect the exhibit to classroom learning and academic standards
• Select activities appropriate for different grade levels
• Develop useful teacher and student materials
• Identify potential barriers to school visits
• Make the exhibit accessible to students with different needs
• Demonstrate educational need and community support in our grant application

Prairie Village Museum is exploring the creation of “Prairie Innovation,” a new hands-on exhibit where children and families could discover how people used creativity, science and technology to solve everyday problems on the northern plains.
Before we move forward, we want to hear from the families who would use it. Your feedback will help us decide which activities to include, what children should learn and how to make the exhibit enjoyable and accessible for visitors of different ages and abilities.
